Urdd

The Urdd is one of Wales’ largest youth organisations, dedicated to providing children and young people with opportunities to enjoy sports, arts, and social activities through the Welsh language. It offers fantastic experiences, including competitions, outdoor activities, trips, and much more—all in a friendly Welsh-speaking environment.

At our school, we are proud to be part of the Urdd and offer two clubs to help our pupils get actively involved:

Urdd Sports Club: Every Wednesday, 3:30pm until 4:30pm
Our Sports Club gives pupils the chance to enjoy a range of activities, including football, basketball, hockey, and more. Different year groups take part each term, so check with Mrs. Michael at the office to see whose turn it is this time. Members also have the opportunity to visit activity centres like Glan-llyn and Llangrannog, where they can take part in outdoor adventures and socialise through Welsh.

Urdd Performing Club: Every Monday, 3:30pm until 5:00pm
For those who love performing, we run a Performing Club every Monday for Year 2 and above. This club helps prepare pupils for competing in the Urdd Eisteddfod, where they can take part in singing, reciting, drama, and more. It’s a fantastic opportunity to build confidence and develop creative skills in a supportive environment.

If you’d like to learn more or are interested in joining, feel free to contact the school!
