Entrepreneurship
At Gwel y Glannau Federation, we believe in inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs and creative thinkers! Our Enterprise Programme encourages pupils to develop key life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and financial awareness while having fun and making a real impact in their community.
At the core of this programme is our Enterprise Council, a team of enthusiastic pupils and staff who meet regularly to plan and drive entrepreneurial projects across the school. Their goal is to develop innovative ideas that benefit both the school and the wider community, fostering a culture of ambition, creativity, and resilience.
Throughout the year, we organise a range of exciting enterprise activities, including:
School Business Challenges: Pupils design, create, and sell products, learning about budgeting, marketing, and teamwork.
Fundraising & Social Enterprise: Supporting local charities and causes through creative fundraising events, reinforcing the importance of giving back.
Market Days & Trade Fairs: Providing pupils with opportunities to showcase and sell their own creations to real customers.
Leadership & Financial Literacy: Teaching pupils the value of money, budgeting, and business planning in a practical and engaging way.
Innovation & Problem-Solving: Encouraging pupils to think outside the box and develop solutions to real-world challenges.
We also collaborate with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members to provide hands-on experiences, workshops, and mentorship opportunities. By embedding enterprise into school life, we aim to develop pupils who are confident, resourceful, and ready to embrace opportunities in the future.
Our Enterprise Programme is all about creativity, determination, and learning by doing. By encouraging our pupils to take risks, think independently, and work together, we are preparing them for lifelong success in an ever-changing world!
