School Council

At Gwel y Glannau Federation, we are incredibly proud of our School Council, a dedicated group of pupils who work tirelessly to ensure the voices of all students are heard. The council meets regularly to discuss school improvements, organise events, and act as a vital link between pupils and staff. Their goal is to make our school the best it can be for everyone!

Leading the way are our Head Boy and Head Girl, two outstanding pupils who have demonstrated leadership, dedication, and a commitment to making a positive difference. They represent the student body at key events, welcome visitors, and work closely with staff to implement pupil-led initiatives. Supporting them are our Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, who assist in ensuring that every pupil's ideas and concerns are taken into account.

Our School Council plays a vital role in shaping school life by:

Representing pupil voices: Ensuring all students have a say in important decisions.

Organising school-wide initiatives: From charity fundraisers to environmental projects.

Leading by example: Promoting respect, kindness, and teamwork across the school.

Working with the local community: Strengthening links with businesses, charities, and organisations.

Through their efforts, the council helps to create a strong, supportive, and inclusive school environment where every pupil can thrive. Leadership opportunities like these empower our pupils to build confidence, develop key life skills, and prepare for the future.

Our Head Boy, Head Girl, and Deputies are fantastic role models who inspire their peers, and our School Council is a driving force behind positive change at Gwêl y Glannau Federation!
